Preparation of Manuscripts

Microsoft Word files are required for all manuscripts, and the layout of the text keeps as simple as possible, e.g., single column, 1.5 lines spacing, wide margin, 12 pt font size, Times New Roman font written in English, and Song typeface font written in Chinese. All pages should be numbered consecutively in the bottom, beginning with the title page.

All measurements must be given in SI or SI-derived units.

Abbreviations should be used sparingly — only where they ease the reader’s task by reducing repetition of long, technical terms. Initially use the word in full, followed by the abbreviation in parentheses. Thereafter use the abbreviation only.

The manuscript should be organized in the following order:

Title and by-line:

Name(s), affiliation (institution) of the author(s), city, zip code, country should be given. At the same time, on the footnote of the first page the following information should be provided: 1) Foundation item(s), including the name of the foundation item and its code; 2) Biography for the first author and/or the corresponding author and their full telephone No., postal and E-mail addresses.

Abstract:

The abstract should outline the objective, method, main results, and conclusion with about 200-300 words, in which the data of tables and figures mainly contributed to the conclusions should be cited. The abstract should not contain mathematical formulas, equations, or cited marks.

Key words:

Provide 3 to 8 key words or phrases for cross-indexing this article.

Text:

The text should contain an Introduction (not include as a heading), Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion sections.

Acknowledgements:

Individuals or units other than authors who were of direct help in the work should be acknowledged by a brief statement following the text.

References & Citation:

The references should only include the works that have been published or accepted for publication. Personal communications and unpublished data are not acceptable references but may be mentioned in the text. References cited in the text should be numbered in sequence as they appear, and the citation form with more than one author in the text only list the first author’s last (family) name, followed by et al; however, in the reference list more than three authors must be listed the first three authors, followed by et al. The manuscript should be carefully checked to ensure that the spelling of author’s name is exactly the same in the text as in the reference list. If the work is not published in English, the actual language should be indicated in parentheses.
